A. The Manipal Group

Manipal Capital & Leasing Ltd is the Delhi based arm of the Ramesh Pai Group of Manipal. The Pais of Manipal founded Syndicate Bank in the early part of the 20th century. The Group has interests in the fields of healthcare, education, financial services, home furnishings, auto dealerships, auto parts, management of state lotteries etc. Our Late Group Chairman Shri. B. The Company

MCPL has been operating the Delhi branch of the Group’s flagship NBFC i.e. Maha Rashtra Apex Corporation Ltd. since 1995. The branch operations involve all aspects of financial services including deposit mobilization, hire purchase, lease, bills discounting, demand loans, share discounting, money transfer etc. Activities include sourcing of credit worthy finance proposals, customer profile verification, credit appraisal, site/ supplier verification, pre sanction documentation, sanction, loan documentation, disbursement, post disbursement documentation, client servicing, collections, recoveries through asset repossession and through courts, accounting, sales tax and BIFR matters.

The Company has been active in the field of corporate finance and loan syndication for a decade and is widely respected in corporate circles in and around Delhi.

C. The Management

Manipal Consulting is managed by a team of Chartered / Cost Accountants and MBAs. They understand the importance of delinquency management in the success of a business venture and know the nuances of managing collections. Key personnel are:

Mr. Garnet Rego (68), former General Manager of Syndicate Bank. Currently Director of the Company and Executive Director of Maha Rashtra Apex Corporation Ltd.

Mr. N.M.Sudhir (41): FCA, ACWA. CEO of MCPL since July 1995. He oversees the day to day operations of the Company.
Mr. Devendra Umrao (38): Has been heading marketing operations of the Company as Executive Vice President since its inception.

Mr. Debashis Nanda ( 48): A Cost Accountant, Company Secretary and MBA by qualification, he heads the Company’s Bank and Institutional Finance Division. He has over 22 years experience in this field.
